Become a Shared Lives Carer We are always looking for compassionate individuals and families to join our Shared Lives scheme. Unlike a typical support role, being a Shared Lives Carer means opening your home and sharing your life with an adult who needs support. It is a unique opportunity to provide a sense of belonging and make a direct impact within a family-style environment.

It’s not unusual for PossAbilities people to go ‘above and beyond’ – that’s the kind of people we are, and we like to show our appreciation.
Every so often, people, either as individuals or teams, do things that just make us say “WOW!”.
We celebrate these moments through our POSSitive Recognition scheme, where colleagues recognise each other for living our values. There’s no formal process – you just know when something extraordinary happens. That’s when our Chief Executive turns up at your place of work with a handwritten WOW! card and a bottle of fizz.
Each month, one individual is chosen to receive the “It’s in our DNA” Award, celebrating those who truly embody what PossAbilities stands for.

The Duvet Day
Any member of staff that completes a full year without absence gets to take a ‘duvet day’. That’s an extra paid day off when you want, with or without your duvet.
Whether you decide to snuggle up in bed, head for Morrison’s or have lunch in Monte Carlo, we really like to know what people get up to on their duvet day, so that we can share the stories with everyone else.
So we are looking forward to hearing from this years Duvet Dayers.

We are always looking for ways to make our services better and to bring in new ideas wherever they may come from. Any member of staff can submit an idea using our really simple BIG IDEA form. It gets considered by the board and if we think it will work, we ask you to help us to make it happen.
