Supported Living &

Outreach Services

one size never fits all

Every great story starts with
a good chat and a good listener.

At PossAbilities, we believe everyone deserves a place they can call home, not just a roof over their head, but somewhere they can truly be themselves. Our supported living services are all about helping people live the life they choose, with a helping hand when needed.

Values That Actually Mean Something

Some folks need a bit of help
now & then, others a bit more

Whatever you’re looking for, we’ll work with you to make it feel right. We work alongside young people and adults with learning disabilities, autism, and other support needs, always in a way that’s led by them. That means no cookie-cutter plans, just proper conversations, good brews, and support that actually fits real lives.

Your loved one might share a house with like-minded mates, or they might fancy their own front door. Our supported living in Rochdale and nearby areas gives people the freedom to live how they choose, with support that’s shaped around them.

It’s about independence, yes, but it’s also about belonging. Because with the right support and the right people around them, anything feels possible.

Tailored support to fit their
life, not the other way round

We don’t do one-size-fits-all. Never have, never will.

Whether they need a bit of support getting out and about, help managing their tenancy, or someone to remind them where they left your flip-flops (again), we’re here to make life smoother, not more complicated. That’s what our supported living approach is all about.

We start with a proper good chat. We’ll spend time getting to know you and your loved one. What they like, what they don’t, and how they want to live their life. We’ll figure out the kind of support that actually feels right for them. Their plan is shaped around what they want, whether that’s a bit of help with personal care, sorting their bills, cooking tea, or building up confidence to try something new.

And because we’re all about making life feel right, we’ll match them with a house (and housemates) that suit their vibe. Love dogs? Karaoke queen? Bit of a gamer? We’ll try to link them up with people who get it. Same goes for our support workers. We’ll pair them with someone who clicks with them, someone who’ll make everyday moments feel easy, not awkward.

No pressure, no poking, just friendly support that helps them live the life they choose.

Where we support

From Wigan to West Yorkshire — we’re right where you need us.

We’re proud northerners through and through, and you’ll find us all over the place – from the heart of Greater Manchester to the corners of Merseyside and over t’border into West Yorkshire. That includes supported living in Rochdale, where we’re part of the community and helping people thrive.

Wherever we are, we’re never just turning up and clocking in. We’re part of the community – the local shops know us, the neighbours wave, and yes, we probably know the nearest chippy too.

Because everyone deserves to feel at home – not just in their house, but in their street, their town, and their life.

Your Own Front Door

Independence starts with a key in your hand.

There’s something pretty special about turning the key in your own front door, isn’t there? That little click that says: This is mine. This is home. At PossAbilities, we believe everyone deserves that feeling.

That’s why we’ve created places like Cherwell Green in Heywood, Eastdale in Wigan, and Bridgeman House—brilliant apartment-style homes where your family member can live their own life, at their own pace, with supported living just round the corner when they need it.

Each place has its own charm, but they’ve all got the same idea behind them:

  • Self-contained apartments with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living space
  • 24-hour support on hand, if and when needed
Access to lovely shared spaces like the Cherwell
  • Wellbeing Garden (where you can pot some herbs or pet a Shetland pony) and the Social Lounge, which is open nearly every day of the year

So if their dream day involves pottering in the garden, cooking their own tea, picking their playlists, and maybe having a good laugh with someone who gets them, we’ll help you make it happen.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about where someone lives, it’s about how they live. And we’re here to make sure it feels like their life, not just a service.

More Than Support
— A Community

Grow, connect and thrive with PossAbilities.

Support is only the beginning. At PossAbilities, people are encouraged to build a life that feels meaningful, full of opportunities, friendships and places where someone can feel truly at home. Whether a person lives independently or receives supported living services in Rochdale, our focus is on helping each individual feel connected and valued.

Cherwell

At Cherwell, people move into comfortable apartments with support available when needed, but they also become part of a vibrant community. The wellbeing garden, small farm and Social Lounge offer welcoming spaces to relax, learn new skills and build friendships.

The Social Lounge

The Social Lounge is open most days of the year and is a lively hub for activities, from pool and bingo to baking and brews. It’s a place where confidence grows naturally through connection.

Growing Together

The garden and outdoor spaces offer calm, hands‑on activities that help people feel part of something positive. Whether planting vegetables, learning budgeting skills or volunteering at events, each experience supports personal growth. Small steps often lead to big outcomes: confidence, friendships and new opportunities.

When people feel understood, supported and part of a community that celebrates who they are, the possibilities truly begin to grow.

Start Your PossAbilities
Journey

We know that taking the first step can feel like a big deal. So let’s keep it simple.

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your family, or someone you work with, we’re right here, ready to have a proper natter and hear what matters to you and your loved one. No pressure, no pushiness, just a proper chat about what they might need and how we can help, whether it’s full-time care or flexible supported living.

We’ll take the time to listen (really listen), explain things in plain English, and go at your pace, whether you’re ready to dive in or just dipping a toe. There’s no such thing as a daft question and no one-size-fits-all answers here. Just honest, human conversations that put you and your loved one in the driver’s seat.

Sound good? Let’s start with hello.
