PossAbilities provides flexible services for adults with disabilities, designed to promote independence and choice. Our supported living and outreach programmes across the North West and West Yorkshire ensure that people remain in control of their lives while receiving the specific support they need to thrive. We support people to live on their own terms, focusing on personal goals and choice.
Our experienced team provides person-centred support for a variety of needs, ensuring everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
Possabilities
Shared Lives: A Family Approach
Our Shared Lives scheme is an integral part of our adults with disabilities services. Often described as “fostering for adults,” it connects people with learning disabilities or autism with host families across Trafford, Rochdale, and the surrounding regions.
This model focuses on building genuine relationships within a stable, family-style environment. It provides a sense of belonging and a safe space for people to grow their independence.

PossAbilities offers comprehensive day services as part of our adults with disabilities services. Located in Rochdale and Bradford, our hubs provide a structured yet flexible environment for people to develop skills, socialise, and engage with their community.
We support adults with both learning and physical disabilities to build independence through a wide range of practical and creative sessions.
Our day services focus on creating a sense of belonging and providing a safe space for people to achieve their personal goals.
Short Breaks & Respite
PossAbilities provides high-quality respite and short breaks as part of our adults with disabilities services. We offer a welcoming, non-clinical environment that allows people to enjoy a change of scenery while providing families and carers with a vital opportunity to rest.
Stays can range from a single overnight visit to a two-week break, tailored to the specific needs and preferences of the person.
Our respite homes in Rochdale and Littleborough are designed to be comfortable and engaging, ensuring every stay feels like a genuine break away from home.
Possabilities
Employment Support
Our Employment Team provides specialist adults with disabilities services across Trafford, Bradford, and Rochdale. We focus on identifying their strengths and matching them with local employers to create meaningful, long-term careers.
We connect candidates with prospective employers, ensuring the role is a sustainable fit for both parties. Our support continues after the start date, assisting with the settling-in period and providing workplace coaching.
We can also provide local businesses with the training and resources they need to become inclusive, confident employers.

Grow Wellbeing At Cherwell Farm & Garden
Cherwell Farm is a welcoming outdoor space where people can enjoy fresh air, practical activities, and a strong sense of community. Located in Rochdale, the farm is part of our adults with disabilities services and is run by and for people with learning disabilities. It offers opportunities to grow vegetables, care for animals, and connect with others.
More than just a garden, Cherwell Farm supports wellbeing through hands-on work, shared experiences, and time spent outdoors. No prior gardening experience is needed, just an interest in learning and taking part. Visitors are always welcome to join us, whether to grow plants, build confidence, or simply enjoy the space together.
