Employment Team
one size never fits all
Because Everyone Deserves
A Fair Shot At Work
At PossAbilities, we know finding work can feel like a mountain sometimes, especially when the world isn’t built with your brain or body in mind. That’s exactly why we provide specialist Supported Employment across the North West and Yorkshire, helping your loved one find their own path, their own pace, and their own kind of proud.
Whether they’re raring to go or just dipping a toe in the water, we’re here to listen, cheer them on, and provide the specialist employability support they need to play to their strengths.
The Supported Employment Programme
For adults with disabilities or long-term conditions.
Are They Eligible?
If you one live in Rochdale, Heywood, or Middleton and they’re aged between 18 and 65, we’re here for you. We provide the kind of dedicated, person-centred support formerly associated with the Work Choice Programme. We support people who are:
- Learning disabilities.
- Having mental health ups and downs.
- Physical or sensory impairments.
- Autistic, ADHD, or severely dyslexic.
How We Support
We don’t do “one size fits all.” We start with an honest natter about their dreams, followed by:
- Advice on choosing the right direction.
- Help with CVs, application forms, and interview techniques.
- Mentoring and cheering them on once you’ve started.
- Volunteering (great for building skills & meeting people).
Wellness In Work (The IPS Programme)
Specialist Mental Health support in partnership with Pure Innovations & The Growth Company.
We deliver the NHS Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model—the gold standard for Mental Health employment support in the North West. This “place then train” model is designed specifically for people managing their mental health.
Who is it for? Residents of Rochdale, Bolton, and Bury known to the Early Intervention (EIT) or Community Mental Health (CMHT) teams.
Referrals: We accept self-referrals if your family member is currently accessing Mental Health support through your GP.
The Triple A Programme
Unlocking potential for young people with Autism (Ages 13–25).
Living in Rochdale, Heywood, or Middleton, our Triple A members get:
- Support and skills building to boost their confidence and make friends.
- A dedicated adviser to help you reach their goals at their own pace.
- Everything from ‘Cook & Eat’ to health walks and cinema trips.
- For those 18+, we provide a bridge into voluntary placements or paid employment.
