Emma Lord – Non-Exec Director

Emma Lord, Non-Executive Director.

Emma has never been one to shy away from a challenge, especially when it means making life better for others. As our Non-Executive Director, Emma brings her energy and passion for people right into the heart of PossAbilities.

Emma’s journey started at the grassroots, working directly with people who needed a bit of extra support. She’s led teams, grown organisations, and even held the fort as interim CEO by the age of thirty. Whether it’s helping young people leaving care, supporting adults with learning disabilities, or making sure nobody feels left out, Emma’s always asking, “How can we do this differently?”

Her career has taken her from the “shop floor” to the boardroom, via start-ups, public service consultancies, and projects across health and social care. Through it all, her focus has stayed the same: listen first, then roll up your sleeves and make things happen.

Emma’s proud to be a Lancastrian, and when she’s not championing new ideas at PossAbilities, you’ll find her with her young son Harry, usually on the sidelines of a football pitch (Harry’s latest obsession!), trying to work out the offside rule.

Emma’s warmth, curiosity, and “let’s get it done” spirit fit right in with our PossAbilities family.
