Day Services

Services that feel like your second home.

PossAbiliites’ Day Services gives adults in Rochdale & Bradford with learning and physical disabilities the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and take part in meaningful activities which are outcome focussed.

We aim to significantly improve the quality of life of the people that we support.

Values That Actually Mean Something

More than a service

Ever walked into a place and thought, “Ahhh… this feels right.” That’s what we want every day to feel like at PossAbilities Day Services. We’re not your run-of-the-mill day centre, and we’re dead proud of that. At PossAbilities, our Day Services for adults with learning disabilities are all about doing life together. It’s not stiff or clinical – it’s warm, lively, and full of people who genuinely care.

We welcome adults with all kinds of abilities, and tailor what we do around your loved one. Whether they’re into painting, planting, pedalling, or just having a proper natter, they’ll find their people here. It’s a safe, welcoming place where laughs are loud, support is real, and no one’s ever just a number on a list.

We don’t believe in just “keeping people busy.” We believe in building confidence, sparking joy, and helping each person move towards whatever future they want. Whether that’s learning a new skill, trying something bold, or just having a belly laugh with mates, we’re here for it.

It’s about finding joy, feeling part of something, and building a life they’re proud of, one day at a time.

What’s On Offer

Real activities, real progress.

We make every day meaningful, and blooming brilliant, too.

Forget beige boredom and tick-box tasks, our day services for adults with learning disabilities are buzzing with life, laughter, and loads of things to get stuck into. Whether they’re happiest with paint on their fingers, baking up a storm, planting herbs in the sunshine, or belting out their favourite tune, there’s something here with their name on it.

Here’s a little taster of what we’ve got going on:

  • Art & crafts for the creative souls
  • Cook & eat sessions
  • Music, movement & mischief (the good kind)
  • Gardening & growing at our beautiful wellbeing gardens
  • Cycling for all abilities, including adapted bikes
Health & beauty, massage, and a good old pamper
  • Literacy, numeracy & digital skills

And if you like a bit of sparkle and stage lights, you’ll love our annual show,it’s full of talent, confetti, and happy tears (ours, mostly). You might also catch us at local events, digging into the community spirit with things like the Peel Street Mill history project, Peel Street Mill history project or our Cycle & Stride adventures.

We’ve also got some big-hearted projects that help people build confidence, skills, and that “I did it!” feeling:

Your Day, Your Way

There’s something for everyone.

If you thought Day Services meant sitting quietly in a room watching the clock, think again, love. In Bradford, we’re mixing things up with spaces made for laughing, learning, and living life fully. Whether your loved one loves getting their hands mucky in the garden or fancies trying their hand at something new, there’s a little something here for everyone.

The Learning Zone
Why should learning stop when you leave school? At The Learning Zone, every day is a chance to learn something new. Based in the heart of Bradford, we offer a fun, welcoming environment where adults with learning disabilities can choose from a timetable of tutor-led classes, with no exams or pressure, just learning, friendship, confidence and the support of our PossAbilities team every step of the way.

The Hub
A cosy, safe space where people can build life skills and their confidence, too. It’s all about getting out and about, joining in with local events, and being part of the community, not just watching from the sidelines. Whether that’s helping out at a charity fair, joining a craft group, or simply going for a brew with mates, this is their space to shine.

Springfield Garden
Set on seven acres of green space packed with opportunities to learn, create and connect. From our polytunnels, woodwork workshop and large apple orchard to caring for our chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, there’s always something happening. We even use the apples from our orchard to brew our own cider! Everything we do is rooted in the local community. We grow it, we share it, we celebrate it. That’s the PossAbilities way.
